Installation Instructions
1. Tuyere stock assemblies are delivered in separate parts which will be assembled on site. Check and confirm the components and parts are complete and undamaged as per the assembly drawing before installation.
2. The spherical surface and refractory should be protected undamaged, each part should not be rust-eaten and impacted during transportation and installation.
3. Fasteners of each part should be rechecked and fastened since they may loose during transportation.
4. The space deviation between tuyere centerline and the horizontal center line of bustle pipe should be ≤5mm, and space deviation between bustle pipe center line and surface of tuyere flange (plumb-line of center cross point ) should be ≤1.5mm.
5. The open position and angle of trumpet pipe (or reducer pipe) on the bustle pipe should be accurate and consistent (better to adopt template marking out); the space position of flange bolt hole should be ensured of unique degree of accuracy (suggest the flange and pipe better be on spot welding, after opened, weld the reducer pipe first, and lift the other assemblies by crane to weld the flange, thus will make the installation easier).
6. Place several layers of ceramic fiber felt (if work temperature is＞1350℃) between metal jacketed gaskets and hot air entry to built up a multi-layer seamless flange seal to ensure no air leakage between flanges.
7. Connect fasteners of each flange should be evenly fastened to the extent of no air leakage, and should be adjusted at the first time of run of furnace (often check the connecting points during operation and change the fasteners or gaskets in time if air leakage is found).
8. The Upper & Lower tension devices should be fastened according to actual installation positions and the length should be adjusted.
